4 Hour Management Class
Monday, July 15th (1pm-5pm)
LDH approved the 4-Hour Management class for Water and Wastewater hours.
This is a separate class from the 24-Hour Technical and has a separate registration that must be completed if you wish to attend.
*Management Training – As outlined in LAC 48: Part V. 7707-7719
“As a part of meeting the managerial capacity requirements, all appropriate staff of existing public water systems shall attend a training session provided by the state, its contractors, or the state-recognized trainers for board members, council members/mayors/owners, etc. Management training for all board members/council members/mayors/owners of existing public water systems will be based on whether their water system has been issued an administrative order, and/or is on the significant non-compliers’s list, and/or has had primary MCL violations during the past three years. The department will continue to encourage attendance voluntarily at management training sessions by board members/council members/mayors/owners of other public water systems. Training sessions shall be provided periodically and appropriate parties as noted above will have the opportunity to attend one of the scheduled sessions within six months after the system has been notified that is it being evaluated for technical, managerial, and financial capacity.”
!!Attention Operators!!!: At least one Decision Maker (mayor, board president, or council member/board member) from the water/wastewater system must be present for the operator of that system to receive recertification credit hours.

32 Hour Certification Review Classes
Monday, July 15th (8am-5pm); Tuesday, July 16th (8am-6pm);
Wednesday, July 17th (8am-5pm), and Thursday, July 18th (8am-5pm)
LDH approval is pending for the 32-Hour Certification Review Classes for hours. Water classes are approved for water hours ONLY and Wastewater classes are approved for wastewater hours ONLY.
Certification classes are designed for those not certified or who need to advance their certification level. If you need hours please register for the 24-hour Technical Sessions, we need to hold spaces for those who will be taking an exam on Friday.
You can only attend ONE class because they are held simultaneously. Sitting in one class and then moving to another to get hours is no longer allowed.

24 Hour Technical Sessions
Tuesday, July 16th (8am-6pm); Wednesday, July 17th (8am-5pm),

LDH approved classes for 24 hours of credit in both water and wastewater. Course #68014
The Technical Sessions are designed for you to choose the session you would like to attend. Session topics will pertain to water, wastewater, and management (mayors, board/council members, clerks/ bookkeepers, etc.). These sessions will allow you to receive the necessary recertification credits in water and/or wastewater.

Classroom Registration Includes
- Classroom admittance/instruction.
- You cannot register for a 24-hour technical Session and sit in on a 32-hour Certification Class or 4-hour Management Class for hours. You MUST register for each class individually.
- The 32-Hour Certification Class is for those needing to take the exam on Friday, not to get recertification hours.
- The 24-Hour Technical is for those needing recertification hours.
- The 4-Hour Management is for decision-makers. Operators can only get recertification hours IF a decision maker from that system also registers and attends.
- Some meals (breakfast/lunch/dinner) are provided during the week (check scheduled) at the Lake Charles Event (Civic) Center.
- Exhibit Hall admittance.
- Classroom attendee receives one (1) scannable name badge which allows access to the Wednesday Awards Luncheon beginning at 11:00 am. If a spouse/guest/child(ren) wishes to attend the awards ceremony then an Awards Luncheon Ticket must be purchased before Wednesday. ($40 per adult [14 & up] — $15 per child [13 & under])
- All special events. (Membership Meeting; Welcome Address; Meet & Greet Exhibitors; Las Vegas Night with Bingo, Fish Fry; etc.)
- Specially printed name badge to scan (in/out) ALL events to track your Credit Hours. Don’t forget to scan in and out!
Attendees PRE-REGISTERED with PAYMENT for a class before July 1st are eligible for a chance to win one of five $1000 door prize drawings on Thursday during lunch, They MUST BE PRESENT TO WIN. If payment is not received you are not eligible for the drawing.
ALL PAYMENT/CHECKS MUST BE RECEIVED BEFORE July 10th.
Cancellation/Refund Policy/No Show
LRWA will charge a $100 processing fee for ALL cancellations. Rather than canceling, consider sending a substitute.
A written request for cancellation/refund must be received by fax (337-738-5620), email (lrwa@lrwa.org), or mail before July 1, 2024.
NO refunds are issued for cancellations requested after July 1, 2024.
LRWA has a new policy for attendees who pre-register but don’t pay. If you send a pre-registration, do not pay, and do not attend the conference without calling to cancel we will invoice a No Show Administrative charge of $100. This is because of the expenses we incurred for the registration. This is like a doctor’s office charging an appointment no-show fee.
EXAM Application Instructions/Information
Louisiana Department of Health (LDH) states that pre-approval is REQUIRED for ALL certification exams, therefore pre-application must be submitted to their office at least 30 days or more before the exam date.
