Homeowner & Small Business Sewerage Treatment System Maintenance

Louisiana Rural Water Association (LRWA), through funding by Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality, has implemented a public education and awareness campaign regarding the importance of proper operation and maintenance of individual home sewage treatment systems.


You are invited to attend this FREE class on the proper operation and maintenance of your home sewage treatment system, the importance of  routine inspections and how to identify repairs needed on your individual system. The information provided will help you avoid unsanitary conditions from impacting your home or business.
4:30pm to 5:00pm — Sign In/Registration
5:00pm to 5:10pm — Introductions and Session Goals:  Rusty Reeves, LRWA Deputy Director
5:10pm to 5:40pm — Onsite/Home Sewer and Impacts on the Water Shed Area:  Jesse Means, LDEQ Geologist
5:40pm to 6:10pm — Onsite/Home Sewer System Requirements:  Mike Vidrine, LDH Onsite Sewer Program (pending)
6:10pm to 6:40pm — Onsite/Home Sewer System Operation and Maintenance:  Luke Deshotel, Luke Deshotel Construction (pending)
6:40 pm to 7:00pm — Round Robin Type Discussion – Questions/Comments:  Rusty Reeves, LRWA Deputy Director
