“As a part of meeting the managerial capacity requirements, all appropriate staff of existing public water systems shall attend a training session provided by the state, its contractors, or the state-recognized trainers for board members, council members/mayors/owners, etc. Management training for all board members/council members/mayors/owners of existing public water systems will be based on whether their water system has been issued an administrative order, and/or is on the significant non-compliers’s list, and/or has had primary MCL violations during the past three years. The department will continue to encourage attendance voluntarily at management training sessions by board members/council members/mayors/owners of other public water systems. Training sessions shall be provided periodically and appropriate parties as noted above will have the opportunity to attend one of the scheduled sessions within six months after the system has been notified that is it being evaluated for technical, managerial, and financial capacity.”

You may only enroll in one class at a time, as they are held in different classrooms simultaneously from Monday to Thursday, between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM.
These training courses are designed for individuals who need to take their operator certification exam to become certified. The classes review either Water (Production, Treatment, and Distribution) or Wastewater (Treatment and Collection).
If you are attending solely to obtain certification hours, the registration fee remains the same, as no discount is offered for attending fewer than four days. We discourage registering for these classes if certification hours are your only objective. Instead, please register for the 24-Hour Technical Session. The 32-Hour classes should be reserved for individuals who need a comprehensive review before taking the exam on Friday.
To receive full credit, you must attend the Welcome Address, lunches with guest speakers, the Awards Luncheon, and the Technology Tour/Meet & Greet.
Remember to scan your name badge upon entering and exiting the classroom. After scanning, take a moment to verify that your name appears on the screen.
